Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) agrees with Attorney General Jeff Sessions that, “[e]xcept in the narrowest circumstances, no one should be forced to choose between living out his or her faith and complying with the law.”
Based on this principle, the Attorney General issued guidance today to all executive departments and agencies, stating in part that “Americans do not give up their freedom of religion by participating in the marketplace, partaking of the public square, or interacting with the government.”
This guidance is a great victory for religious freedom — a fundamental freedom enshrined in our Constitution and expressly protected in numerous federal laws.
