“He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay.”
Matthew 28:6 ESV

The gospels are filled with incredible words and phrases such as these. In our daily devotions, it is sometimes easy to read such familiar words and simply continue reading.  But take a moment and read it once more:

“Come, see the place where He lay.”

You see, the angel invited these women to witness the reality of the Resurrection. Jesus in one final action, conquered sin and death forever, and these two women named Mary were invited to see where He once lay. Death was defeated that Easter morning!

Let us never forget in the haste of our daily living that as sons and daughters of God,
we were bought with an inexpressibly high price — every life, the Imago Dei.

May you be filled with a renewed sense of awe as you worship the risen Savior this Easter.

He is risen! Just as he said! Hallelujah!
