The anticipated vote by the full Arizona House on HB2706 has been postponed – this gives supporters of female athletes more time to encourage state representatives to vote YES on the Save’s Women’s Sports Act!
Boys and men living as girls and women are crushing female athletes, taking their titles and college scholarships, and stripping away almost 50 years of achievements.
Opponents are misrepresenting the bill in an effort to kill it, and they are flooding legislators with opposition. So your lawmakers really need to hear from you!
State Representative Nancy Barto and more than 20 co-sponsors are urging legislation that will require only biological females play on girls’ and women’s sports teams.
Consider the fact that Olympic champion Tori Bowie’s 100-meter lifetime best time was beaten 15,000 times by boys and men in a single year. The same is true of Olympic champ Allyson Felix’s 400-meter best. Fifteen-thousand boys and men throughout the world beat her time handily.
Recent events throughout the country show a trend toward allowing men and boys living as women or girls to compete against female athletes. Boys competing on girls’ sports teams are denying girls victories and other opportunities that go along with those victories, such as college scholarships.
Please help us make Arizona a fair place for girls and women to compete.
Your Representatives will make a decision on HB2706 soon.
