As the Thanksgiving season approaches, our hearts turn to the countless ways God’s faithfulness blesses us, filling us with gratitude for His unwavering grace. This year, I find my heart particularly full. I am deeply thankful for the dedicated team here at Center for Arizona Policy (CAP), whose tireless work for the sanctity of life, marriage and family, and religious freedom inspires me daily.
Moreover, I’m profoundly grateful for you, our ministry friends, whose steadfast support makes our work possible. Your partnership breathes life into our mission, equipping us to stand firm in a challenging cultural landscape.
But I am not alone in my thankfulness. Within the CAP family, there are blessings abound. For some, it’s a season of new beginnings and precious additions. Allison and Chris celebrate the arrival of new grandchildren; little ones who remind us of God’s handiwork and the blessings of family. Lauren is thankful for her engagement, marking the beginning of a new chapter in life and love. Macario gives thanks for his niece, Kate Sofia, whose birth reflects God’s grace and the joy found in His creation.
For others, gratitude emerges from enduring trials. Andrea shares her perspective: “When things are difficult, I’m drawn to pray for those I love who are in conflict. It aligns my heart to the One who is wise and knows all things that I do not. I place my discouragement in the Giver of Hope when all appears hopeless. I trust in the Prince of Peace who can transform hardened hearts. And I choose love over bitterness, being thankful for how God is using this trial for good and ultimately for His glory.” Her reflection reminds us that even in hardship, God’s hand is steady, working all things for good.
Our team also finds deep gratitude in community and calling. Kevin gives thanks that CAP has remained unwavering in its mission to protect the lives of the unborn and their mothers, even in the face of setbacks like Proposition 139. “We are steadfast in our commitment to keep moving forward,” he says, a resolve shared by the entire team. Ashton and Mollycherish the privilege of working within a strong team of believers at CAP, a place where everyone’s dedication inspires and supports one another.Joe reflects on the humbling opportunity to meet with leaders from both sides of the aisle, saying, “I am so undeserving of such a role,” yet embracing it with a spirit of servant leadership.
Susan reflects on the legacy and mission of CAP, expressing gratitude for those who made the organization a reality and for the years of advocacy that have protected family values in Arizona: “CAP has helped protect my family, my religious freedom, educational choice, and continues to fight for Life.”
The simple joys of life often carry the deepest meaning. Todd reflects on seeing his daughters flourish this past year, their growth nurtured by the loving environment of their little Christian school. Lydia and Faith give thanks for their beloved dogs, Maeby and Lebron, whose companionship brightens their days. Lori celebrates her family—her husband, children, and grandchildren—and the blessing of their new home in a warmer state, close to friends and loved ones. Meanwhile, Peter is grateful to raise his children in Arizona, where they have endless opportunities to grow, pursue sports, and follow their passions.
Skyler’s gratitude reflects God’s faithfulness through transitions: “This year, my daughter and I moved and settled into our new home. I’m so thankful for all the time I get to spend with her.” Similarly, Staci gives thanks for the people God has placed in her life—family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors—each relationship a unique reflection of His grace.
As we reflect on these expressions of thankfulness, let’s remember the common thread that unites them: the faithfulness of God. Whether through trials, new beginnings, or the constancy of cherished relationships, He is present. And for that, we are profoundly thankful.
