Today’s lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood, ACLU, abortion doctors, and others to overturn Arizona’s 15-week limit reveals the true pro-abortion agenda that denies the reality of an unborn child’s life. At 15-weeks, an unborn child, at a minimum:

• Feels pain, meaning any abortion method will cause pain to the baby and end his life
• Has distinct facial features that are visible through ultrasound technology
• Can swallow and hear sounds
• Has blood pumping through his circulatory system
• Has kidneys that are producing urine

Further, an abortion after 15 weeks increases the risk of a woman having significant complications; including infection, heavy bleeding, and injury to the uterus.

The intent of the 15-week limit was to not only protect the life of the unborn child but also to spare women the risks of having an abortion later in their pregnancy.

Our commitment remains what it had always been: protect both the woman and her unborn child. No decision has been made on any attempt to intervene in the lawsuit. That will take further analysis and consideration.
