Women and Roll Back Radical Ideology

On his first day back in office, President Donald Trump undid several of former President Joe Biden’s executive actions by signing dozens of executive orders himself.

AP News reports on two of them which dismantle federally mandated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and restore clear, biological definitions of sex. These actions reflect a commitment to protect women’s spaces, stop men from competing in women’s sports, and remove divisive LGBTQ ideology from federal institutions. AP reports:

“One order declares that the federal government would recognize only two immutable sexes: male and female. The definition will be based on whether people are born with eggs or sperm, rather than on their chromosomes. The change is being pitched as a way to protect women from ‘gender extremism.’”

“A separate order aims to halt federal agencies’ DEI programs. Conservatives have long condemned them, arguing they violate the Constitution by using preferences based on race, gender and sexual orientation.”

These actions mark a bold step in the right direction and reflect exactly what we here at CAP, alongside concerned parents nationwide, have been advocating for. Under these orders, taxpayer dollars will no longer be used to fund radical gender transition procedures, and federal workplaces and shelters will be safeguarded from harmful policies that force women to share private spaces with biological men. AP continues:

“Under the order, federal prisons and shelters for migrants and rape victims are to be segregated by sex as defined by the order. And federal taxpayer money could not be used to fund ‘transition services.’”
