31 Days of Prayer
July 1: Pray for divine protection over our nation during this election year. “Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people” (Exodus 18:21 ESV). Encourage believers to use their vote to give God glory.
July 2: Seek forgiveness for the times our country has failed to treat each other as God’s creation. Pray that our leaders and political candidates set the standard of a new level of respect and civility.
July 3: Give thanks for government representatives who believe in biblical truth and pray they are granted godly wisdom and good counselors. Pray that election candidates will choose integrity in both their campaigns and their terms in office.
July 4: Pray that God would grant supernatural faith to true believers who are in authority. May they have boldness and courage to lead by example with radical, world-changing love.
July 5: Pray for strength and encouragement for our leaders and election candidates. May they be granted grace to make good decisions both in and out of the public eye.
July 6: Give thanks to God for creating each of us with unique gifts, and for gifting some with leadership abilities to help guide our country.
July 7: Pray that our nation will elect leaders who have a heart devoted to seeking the Lord.
July 8: Pray that God would place into positions of leadership those pro-life advocates whom He has equipped.
July 9: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure’” (Psalm 122:6). Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and that the U.S. and Israeli relationship will be strengthened because of the election.
July 10: This election cycle and beyond, humble yourself under God, pray, seek Him, turn from your wicked ways, and ask how you can join God’s kingdom work to bring healing. – From 2 Chronicles 7:14
July 11: (Psalm 85:6 ESV) “Will you not revive us again that your people may rejoice in you?” As citizens of this great nation, we unite in prayer for a strong America that honors God and blesses people.
July 12: We confess the misplacing of our hope. The wealth of our nation, the strength of our military, and our superpower status will not save us. God alone satisfies and sends peace. (Psalm 147)
July 13: (Zechariah 4:6 ESV) “’Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” Pray a mighty move of the Holy Spirit across this land will bring genuine repentance by all.
July 14: Lord, have mercy on our country which “calls evil good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20 ESV) Raise up leaders who will not compromise with evil, but will stand on the Word of God.
July 15: Pray the governing authorities take their established place as servants of God. May they govern to do good toward their citizens and to discipline the wrongdoer. (Romans 13:1-5)
July 16: As citizens of the U.S.A., give thanks for the opportunity to vote in the election process. May our votes advance God’s kingdom purposes.
July 17: Pray for voters to have a hunger for truth, be determined to learn truth, and take a stand for truth.
July 18: In the midst of political, racial, and church division, we pray God’s people will bring the message of peace in Christ Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace.
July 19: May our citizens understand that our government should be rooted on biblical values with the intent to submit to God’s divine order.
July 20: May the church of Christ humble herself before God and be reconciled with each brother/ sister in Christ, so that restoration can begin across any racial, economic, or political divides.
July 21: 1 Samuel 2:30 “Those who honor me I will honor.” Pray our elected men and women will choose to honor God and commit to live by his principles.
July 22: Father, we ask that you will place leaders in office who uphold the divine institutions of marriage and family. (Psalm 127:1)
July 23: Pray elected officials are capable of discerning good from evil, and therefore able to provide a peaceable land for its citizens to live. (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
July 24: Matthew 6:13 “Lead us not into temptation.” Reveal in our hearts the tendencies we have in this volatile political process to compromise your kingdom values and seek our own political agendas.
July 25: Pray for those Christian leaders who are in office to be a strong voice of truth and able to take up the shield of faith in defense of religious liberty.
July 26: Pray God will work through his body of believers to transform culture. Enable your servants to boldly speak the Word and perform wonders in the name of Jesus. (Acts 4:23-31)
July 27: Our hope is in the Lord, and as a body of believers we do have a responsibility to contend for the faith. May God’s people stand firm.
July 28: May the people of our nation hear the gospel message, repent, and turn to God so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. (Acts 3:19)
July 29: Pray the Christian voting bloc would cease complaining about the political process, and seek the Lord’s direction in how to engage in the process and be a light in the world.
July 30: Let us put our hope in the sovereign power of our LORD God who alone can deliver. The strength of man’s army or worldly knowledge cannot save.(Psalm 33:12-19)
July 31: In the days to follow the election, “Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” (1 Peter 2:17)
