Today, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed CAP-supported bill HB 2563 to further protect free speech and religious freedom in Arizona’s public universities and community colleges. Sponsored by Rep. Paul Boyer, this new law will ensure that our state’s universities and colleges will remain places where diverse ideas can be freely shared and where students can participate in a full marketplace of ideas.
Arizonans are grateful for Gov. Ducey, Rep. Boyer, and state legislators willing to protect free expression on our college campuses. Our future leaders need to learn how to engage in constructive debate, rather than simply shutting down speech they disagree with.
