Arizonans retain strong foundational principles. They value their God-given freedoms and families, they support and respect the religious beliefs of their fellow Arizonans, and they support laws protecting these rights.

It is no surprise that recent polling shows Arizonans are both compassionate and fiercely committed to protecting the safety, privacy, and interests of girls and women; educational freedom; parental rights, and the freedom to live and work according to one’s deeply held beliefs.

Contrary to the loud voices dictating progressive policies, Arizona voters hold fast to their right to direct their children’s upbringing, rejecting the notion that the government bureaucrats know better.

The results of the Center for Arizona Policy poll conducted by Data Orbital show a large majority of Arizona voters oppose protected classes that infringe on religious freedom. Also, they know biological males have an unfair advantage over female athletes and they want their girls, and all women, to compete on a fair playing field. They strongly oppose forcing girls to share private spaces like locker rooms and restrooms with biological males.

Twice as many Arizona voters want parental oversight of education than those who do not. And they see the damage done to students kept out of class during the pandemic. More than 80% support extending eligibility for the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program to help all low-income Arizona students find the educational option that best suits them.

There is no getting around the fact that Arizonans have not given up their rights, they have not turned over their children to bureaucrats – and they will support lawmakers who respect their values.
