A Statement from Center for Arizona Policy President Cathi Herrod

Governor Ducey today selected former US Senator Jon Kyl to fill the seat vacated by Senator McCain’s passing.

As one who has worked closely with Senator Kyl on many issues, I welcome and applaud his willingness to step in and meet this need at this time. Throughout his congressional career, Senator Kyl served with integrity and honor. No one knows the Senate better than Senator Kyl.

Senator Kyl’s wisdom, true statesmanship, and experience will benefit all Arizonans and all Americans in the coming months.
